Making My Wedding Band

After becoming engaged in late 2022, a friend asked if I wanted to design and make my own engagement ring.

The process was more difficult than I imagined, but in the end I learned a lot and got to spend time with some amazing people.

Thank you everyone who inspired me and helped me along the way. This was awesome experience from Day 1.

The design was inspired by old signet rings, but I wanted the ring to also be minimalist and not overly flashy. After a few prototypes, the outer edge chamfer was added to make the ring profile less “harsh”.

Once the design of the ring was finished, a close friend and I worked on the fabrication. I didn’t have a lot of machinist experience but luckily a close friend, Aaron, took me under his wing and I tried to learn as much as I could.
